Exam Preparation
Currently unavailable in launch phaseST Mentor will offer practical exam strategy resources covering Duke Elder, MSRA and FRCOphth Part 1 — the key exams relevant to aspiring Ophthalmology ST1 applicants.
ST Mentor plans to develop structured exam preparation support for applicants preparing for key specialty exams. Starting with The Duke Elder, FRCOphth Part 1 and the MSRA.
The aim is to create small cohorts of applicants preparing for exams around a similar time, combining peer accountability, shared momentum and regular ST Mentor-led teaching sessions. This would help applicants stay motivated, cover high-yield topics systematically and avoid preparing in isolation.
Potential support may include:
- How ST Mentor prepared for these exams
- Cohort-based study groups
- Regular high-yield topic sessions
- Study planning and accountability
- Peer discussion and revision structure
- Practical exam technique guidance
